Vandetanib inhibits VEGFR-dependent tumor angiogenesis and EGFR- and RET-dependent tumor cell proliferation and survival.
Solubility:Soluble in DMSO at 30mg/ml; soluble in ethanol at 10mg/ml with warming; very poorly soluble in water; maximum water solibility is estimated to be about 10-20uM; buffers, serum, or other additives may increase or decrease the aqueous solubility.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
