- Ridaforolimus (the name has been changed from "deforolimus") is an immunosuppressant and a novel small-molecule inhibitor of the protein mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR). Ridaforolimus inhibits cancer cell growth, cell division, metabolism, and angiogenesis by blocking mTOR.
