Widely used PKC activator; less potent than PMA, but also less hydrophobic, making it easier to wash out of cells in tissue culture. This was the ligand used, in radioactive form, in the discovery of the phorbol ester receptor.
Solubility:Soluble in DMSO or ethanol.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
