SRP14 is a ribonucleoprotein complex that mediates the targeting of proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum. The “Alu domain” of SRP comprises the heterodimer of the SRP9 and SRP14 proteins, which are bound to the 5' and 3' terminal sequences of SRP RNA. SRP9/14 binding may be crucial to the transcription, maturation, nucleolus localization and transport of SRP RNA.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-136 of human SRP14 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli.
Molecular Weight: 17.1kD (160aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
