PNPO, also known as pyridoxine-5'-phosphate oxidase, is the rate-limiting enzyme in vitamin B6 synthesis. Vitamin B6, or pyridoxal 5-prime-phosphate (PLP), is critical for normal cellular function, and some cancer cells have notable differences in vitamin B6 metabolism compared to their normal counterparts.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa57-261 of human PNPO protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli.
Molecular Weight: 25.9kD (226aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF (molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher)
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
