GRHPR, also known as GLXR, is a member of the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family of proteins. Localizing to the cytosol, GRHPR is ubiquitously expressed with highest expression levels found in liver. The protein has widespread tissue expression and has a role in metabolism. GRHPR is an enzyme with hydroxypyruvate reductase, glyoxylate reductase, and D-glycerate dehydrogenase enzymatic activities.
Recombinant corresponding to aa1-328 of human GRHPR 6x his tagged, expressed in E.coli. Accession: NP-036335.
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer
