特徴

• FKBP14, also known as 22kD FK506-binding protein, is an enzyme that accelerates the folding of proteins during protein synthesis. This protein contains two EF-hand domains and one PPIase FKBP-type domain. Truncation of the amino-terminus of FKBP14 greatly reduces peptidyl prolyl cis-trans isomerase activity, therefore suggesting that the PPIase FKBP-type domain must be located at the N-terminus.

• Enzyme Activity:Specific activity is > 240 nmoles/min/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that cleaves 1umole of suc-AAFP-pNA per minute at 25°C in Tris-Hcl pH8.0 using chymotrypsin.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
