CBFB, also known as PEBP2B, is the beta subunit of a heterodimeric core-binding transcription factor belonging to the PEBP2/CBF transcription factor family which master-regulates a host of genes specific to hematopoiesis (e.g., RUNX1) and osteogenesis (e.g., RUNX2). This protein is a non-DNA binding regulatory subunit and it allosterically enhances DNA binding by alpha subunit.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-182 of human CBFB protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli.
Molecular Weight: 23.6kD (202aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
