Neuroblastoma RAS viral (v-ras) oncogene homolog, also known as NRAS, is a member of the RAS gene family. NRAS is an oncogene encoding a membrane protein that shuttles between the Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane. The encoded protein, which has intrinsic GTPase activity, is activated to a GTP-bound form by a GTPase activating protein and inactivated to a GDP-bound form by a guanine nucleotide-exchange factor. Recombinant human NRAS was expressed in E. coli.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-186 of human NRAS expressed in E. coli.
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
