Interleukin-6 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor, acting on B cells, T cells and hybridoma cells.This preparation has an ED50 of 0.1ng/ml when assayed by proliferation of murine 7TD1 cells.
Recombinant protein corresponding to human Interleukin-6, expressed in E. coli constitutes full length non-glycosylated human IL-6 and retains full biological activity.

Functional Assay: 0.1-10ng/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
