特徴

• Prealbumin, also known Transthyretin, is a tetrameric human plasma protein that is synthesized mainly in the liver. This protein transports the thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4) and retinol (Vitamin A). It is the best indicator of protein-energy malnutrition because it has a circulating half life of 2 days and responds rapidly to changes in nutritional status. Also point-mutations of its gene are known to be associated with the amyloid diseases senile systemic amyloidosis (SSA), familial amyloid polyneuropathy (FAP), and familial amyloid cardiomyopathy (FAC).
• Recombinant human Prealbumin was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Endotoxin: ≤1EU/1ug (LAL).

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
