GSTK1 is a member of the kappa class of the glutathione transferase superfamily of enzymes that function in cellular detoxification process. This protein catalyzes the conjugation of the thiol group of glutathione (GSH) to the electrophilic groups of a wide range of hydrophobic substrates, leading to an easier removal of the latter from the cells.
Recombinant GSTK1 protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
