VPS28 is involved in endosomal sorting of cell surface receptors via a multivesicular body/late endosome pathway. This protein is a subunit of the ESCRT-I complex (endosomal complexes required for transport) involved in the sorting of ubiquitinated proteins. VSP28 binding with the TSG101 may play important roles in budding of Retroviruses, such as HIV-1 and Ebola virus. Recombinant human VPS28 , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
