Transforming growth factor beta 1(TGF-β1) is a polypeptide member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of cytokines. It is a secreted protein that performs many cellular functions, including the control of cell growth, cell proliferation, cell differentiation and apoptosis. Many cells synthesize TGFb1 and almost all of them have specific receptors for it. It positively and negatively regulates many other growth factors. Also, TGF-β1 plays an important role in bone remodeling, controlling the immune system, and shows different activities on different types of cell, or cells at different developmental stages. Recombinant TGF-β1 protein , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source:Recombinant human TGF beta1, aa279-390, expressed in E. coli
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
