HSC70, also known as heat shock 70kD protein 8, belongs to the heat shock protein 70 family which contains both heat-inducible and constitutively expressed members. The latter are called heat-shock cognate proteins. This protein is a heat-shock cognate protein. HSC70 binds to nascent polypeptides to facilitate correct folding. It also functions as an ATPase in the disassembly of clathrin-coated vesicles during transport of membrane components through the cell. Recombinant HSC70 protein was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to human HSC70, his-tagged, expressed in E. coli.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
