Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1(FBP1) is a gluconeogenesis regulatory enzyme, catalyzes the hydrolysis of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate to fructose 6-phosphate and inorganic phosphate. Fructose-1,6-diphosphatase deficiency is associated with hypoglycemia and metabolic acidosis. Recombinant FBP1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to human FBP1, his-tagged, expressed in E. coli.
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
