Aurora Kinase A is a member of a family of mitotic serine/threonine kinases. It is implicated with important processes during mitosis and meiosis whose proper function is integral for healthy cell proliferation. Aurora kinase A is highly expressed in testis and weakly in skeletal muscle, thymus and spleen. Also this protein plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis and is overexpressed in many kinds of cancers.
Source:Recombinant human Aurora-A fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C/-70°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C/-70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer
