Estradiol is a steroid hormone secreted by developing follicles of the ovary. The determination of estradiol concentrations in the body fluids is of great value for endocrinological investigations in women.

Storage and Stability:For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at 4°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
