Recombinant Human Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 158aa and having a molecular weight of 17.5kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Met-Val-Arg-Ser-Ser.
Biological Activity:The ED50 as determined by the cytolysis of murine L929 cells in the presence of Actinomycin D is a specific activity of ≥5x10e7 IU/mg.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
