Recombinant Human soluble TRAIL is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 168aa and having a molecular weight of 19.6kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Arg-Glu-Arg-Gly-Pro. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates.
Biological Activity:The activity is determined by the ability to induce apoptotic cell death in TRAIL-sensitive U343MG cells. ED50 for this effect is 1-3ng/ml.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
