Homer 1(Homer protein homolog 1) belongs to Homer family of proteins that regulate signal transduction through, and the trafficking of, glutamate receptors, as well as maintain and regulate extracellular glutamate levels in corticolimbic brain regions. The Homer 1 is enriched at excitatory synapses and binds group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs).
Source:Recombinant Homer 1 protein was expressed in E.coli.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at 20 or 70°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
