Calumenin, also known as CALU, is a multiple EF-hand calcium-binding protein located in endoplasmic reticulum(ER) and sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) of mammalian tissues. This protein binds 7 calcium ions with a low affinity and is involved in such ER functions as protein folding and sorting.
Source:Recombinant human Calumenin protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at 20 or 70°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
