• Hepatocyte Growth Factor Human Recombinant produced in Baculovirus is a heterodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain consisting an a-chain of 463 amino acids and a-chain of 234 having a total molecular mass of 80kD.
• Source:Baculovirus Infected High-5 cells. Amino Acid Sequence agrees with the sequence of native human HGF.
• Protein Content:Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 1.83 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics). 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of HGF as a Reference Standard.
• Biological Activity:The ED50 calculated by the dose-dependent proliferation of monkey 4MBr-5 indicator cells was found to be 20-40ng/ml.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
