Puromycin aminonucleoside is a semi-synthetic derivative of puromycin lacking the methoxyphenylalanyl moiety. Puromycin aminonucleoside is the key intermediate in the synthesis of semi-synthetic analogues of puromycin. It does not inhibit protein synthesis or induce apoptosis but exhibits antitumor properties.
