Hypoxia-inducible factor 1, alpha subunit inhibitor (HIF1AN), a member of the Fe2+ and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase superfamily, is protein that hydoxylates a specific asparagine residue (Asn-803) within the HIF1α C-terminal transactivation domain. In normoxia, the HIF1AN-mediated hydroxylation of the HIF1α transactivation domain results in blockage of the HIF1α-p300/CBP interaction and represses transcriptional activity of HIF1α-targeted genes. Recombinant human HIF1AN protein was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
