This recombinant human PDGF-BB expressed in yeast is composed of two identical polypeptide chains attached by disulfide bonds. The polypeptide chains have been partially cleaved between Arg-32 and Thr-33 (see US Patent #s 6083910 and 5895755). This cleavage is visible upon reduction of the polypeptide with a reducing agent. This clipping does not affect biological activity.

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Product may be reconstituted in water or buffer near neutral pH. Stable for 2-3 months in solution when stored at 20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
