PTPμ (mu) (protein tyrosine phosphatase mu, also known as RPTPµ), catalytic domain, (a.a. 896-1175), (GenBank Accession No. NM_001105244) with N-terminal GST tag, MW=56.2 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
Specific Activity: 680 U/ug. One unit will hydrolyze 1 pmol p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at pH 7.4 and 30°C
Assay buffer: 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.4, 2 mM EDTA, 3 mM DTT, 100 mM NaCl, 50mM pNPP.
Application: useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, regulation, and to dephosphorylate target substrates.
Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
