Normal mouse serum obtained from a donor population of adult Swiss webster mice (either sex). This preparation is non-sterile.
Applications:Suitable for use as blocking agent in immunoassays and as non-immune serum control for various primary antiserum. May be used to pre-treat the antibody beads during immunoprecipitation to suppresss non-specific adsorption of primary antibodies or as a negative control in ELISA for various primary antibodies for which no pre-immune serum is available. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
