Cyclophilin B is a cyclosporine-binding protein and is mainly located within the endoplasmic reticulum. It is associated with the secretory pathway and released in biological fluids. This protein can bind to cells derived from T- and B-lymphocytes, and may regulate cyclosporine A-mediated immunosuppression. Recombinant human cyclophilin B was expressed in E. coli (NP_000933) and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Enzyme Activity:Specific activity is > 1,500 nmol/min/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that cleaves 1nmole of suc-AAFP-PNA per minute at 37C in Tris-HCl pH 8.0 using chymotrypsin.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
