Human 8-Oxoguanine DNA Glycosylase (hOGG1) is involved in the excision of 7, 8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine produced as a result of DNA damage. This gene has been localized on human chromosome 3p25. Several forms of hOGG protein have been cloned differing in lengths (351-424 aa) (1).

Sequence Homology:The peptide sequence has 100% homology with various forms of human OGG (1, 2). It has sequence homology of 55% (10/18aa) with the mouse and only 38% (7/18aa) with rat OGG (3).
Applications:ELISA: Use 50-100ng control peptide/well
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer or dH2O and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
