Adiponectin receptor 2/ADIPOR2, a 311-aa protein (mouse) with a Mol.wt of 35.4kD and human ADIPOR2 has 299aa which shares 95.2% homology with that of mouse. The ADIPOR2 serves as receptor for globular and full-length adiponectin and mediate increased AMPK and PPAR-alpha ligand activities, as well as fatty acid oxidation and glucose uptake by adiponectin. ADIPOR2 is most abundantly expressed in Liver.
Source:18aa peptide from Mouse ADIPOR1, conjugated to KLH~C-terminus, Extracellular domain
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. ELISA: Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml and detected with antibodies (0.5-1ug/ml for affinity pure).
The control peptide, because of its low mol. Wt (<3kD), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10ug control peptide per 1ug of affinity purified IgG or 1ul antiserum) to confirm antibody specificity.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
