特徴
- S100 belongs to the family of calcium binding proteins such as calmodulin and troponin C. S100A is composed of an alpha and beta chain whereas S100B is composed of two beta chains. S100 protein is also expressed in the antigen presenting cells such as the Langerhans cells in skin and interdigitating reticulum cells in the paracortex of lymph nodes.
- Description:The S100 family of proteins contain two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs and are thought to be involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes including cell cycle progression and differentiation. Recombinant Human S100A10 also called Calpactin light chain is expressed in E. coli having a molecular weight of 15.3kD fused to an amino terminal hexahistidine tag.
- Applications:Recombinant S100A10 can be used directly as a positive control in Western blotting, ELISA, immunoprecipitation and other immunological experiments. The biological activity of this product has not yet been tested.
- Stability:Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 1-2 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
