Biological Activity:The biological activity of MIP-5 was determined by measuring its ability to chemoattract human T-lymphocytes. A concentration range of 1.0-10ng/ml is found to produce significant chemotaxis. MIP-5, also known as Lkn-1 and SCY A15, is a member of the b chemokine (C-C) family. MIP-5 is a chemoattractant for T-lymphocytes, but not for monocytes and granulocytes.

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
