Equine Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) is produced by a range of cells, including macrophages and monocytes and is an important mediator of the equine inflammatory response.
Recombinant protein corresponding to equine TNFa, expressed in Pichia pastoris.
Biological Activity:Determined by measuring the cytolytic effect of recombinant equine TNF alpha on murine WEHI-13VAR-164 cells in the presence of Actinomycin D the ED50 is <0.05ng/ml.
Applications:Suitable for use in In vitro applications. Other applications not tested.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
