Interleukin 4 (IL-4) plays an important role in the immune response. This cytokine promotes Th2 cell development and is essential for the induction of B-cell isotype switching to IgE antibody production.

Biological Activity: IL-4 has an ED50 in the range 20-50 ng/ml determined by measuring the effect of recombinant equine IL-4 on the proliferation of TF-1 cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and In vitro applications. Other applications not tested.
Endotoxin Level:<0.01EU/ug.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
