Lysate Preparation:Brain (cerebrum and cerebellum) was dissected from postnatal day 1 rats (Sprague Dawley). The tissue was rinsed in Hank’s buffered saline solution and lysed in 1% SDS, 1.0mM sodiumortho-vanadate, 10mM Tris (pH 7.4) buffer. Brain lysates were sonicated then protein concentration was determined using the BCA method (Pierce). The lysate was then diluted to the final concentration in electrophoresis sample buffer.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot Other applications not tested..
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 20ul/lane. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
