Recombinant HIV-1 IIIB gag p24 is a cytosolic protein produced in the Baculovirus Expression System. Quantitative determination of the protein is based on a sandwich capture ELISA using a qualified p24 preparation as a reference. The capture ELISA is sensitive to 1pg of p24; 1ng/ml of p24 shows an O.D. of 1.0 at 405nm under standard ELISA conditions.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Cell Activation Assays. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 10-100ngWestern Blot: 10-100ngOptimal dilution to be determined by researcher.
Specificity:This protein binds to murine monoclonal antibodies of defined epitope specificity and to rabbit and human serum polyclonal antibodies in ELISA and Western Blot.
Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
