Replicatin Protein A2 (32kD) is absolutely required for Simian Virus 40 DNA replication in vitro. It participates in the very early steps of initiation. RPA is a single-stranded DNA-binding protein. It is a hetrotrimer of 70, 32/30 and 14kD chains. The DNA-binding activity may reside exclusively on the 70kD subunit. It is phosphorylated in a cell-cycle-dependent manner (from the S phase until mitosis).
Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and MS. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
