Synthetic (linear) peptide (EAIYAAPFAKKK), biotinylated at the C-terminus. Substrate for Abl kinase. (with an extra K conjugated to Biotin)
Application:Suitable for use in Abl kinase assays. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Use at 25-50uM final concentration for in vitro Abl kinase assays. 25uM was phosphorylated using 10-20ng of Abl, active. The substrate was captured using Streptavidin, agarose conjugate. Assay results show a 332-fold increase in phosphate transferred to the peptide over background. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20°C.
