特徴

• The sm (Smith) is an autoantigen on a series of particles composed of RNA and protein. Unlike RNP, the sm antigen is resistant to RNase, but partially sensitive to trypsin. It is involved in the pathogenesis of Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Antibodies to sm are found in 20-30% of patients with SLE.
• Activity:Reacts only with Sm antisera in immunodiffusion. No reaction is observed with antisera to nRNP, Ro/SS-A, La/ SS-B, Scl-70, or Jo-1 in immunodiffusion. The activity of this product will vary with the assay conditions.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
