Unit Definition:One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes one micromole of N-Benzyl-L-arginine-pNA/minute at 25°C in 200mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.8, 20mM calcium chloride.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 2mM HCl. Bring pH to neutral pH to avoid auto-degradation. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
