According to the ISOBM-TD-1 workshop, CA125 contains three antigenic domains: A-domain (Oc125), B-domain (M11), C-Domain (Ov197). The CA-125 antigen is present on a mucin-like glycoprotein of >200kD and is detectable on the apical surface of normal endometrium and endocervix.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. Stability tested one week at 35°C, recovery confirmed within +10% in the range of 50 Units/ml. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
