Purity: Optimally infected monolayers are harvested, disrupted by sonication and subjected to low speed centrifugation. The clarified cell lysate is pooled with supernatant from the infected culture and concentrated using crossflow ultrafiltration. The resulting antigen preparation contains a high concentration of virus and viral components as well as some cellular material suspended in MEM. Sonication prior to use is suggested.
Concentration: 3.9mg/ml
Form: Supplied as a liquid, lysate in MEM.
Storage and Stability: Store at -70°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
Inactivation: Inactivated using gamma radiation. Confirmed by cell culture assay. No growth detected.
