Nuclear extract is prepared from human HeLa cells using a modified protocol of Dignam et al., which contains a variety of DNA-binding proteins and transcription factors.
Applications:Suitable for use as a positive control for antibodies.
Recommended Usage:Add an equal volume of Laemmli reducing sample buffer to 5-10ul of lysate. Boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 5-10ul (10-20ug) of reduced lysate per lane for immunoblot analysis.
Storage and Stability:For long-term storage, store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
