p38-regulated/activated protein kinase (PRAK) is a 471 amino acid protein with 20–30% sequence identity to the known MAP kinase-regulated protein kinases RSK1/2/3, MNK1/2, and MAPKAP-K2/3. PRAK is activated by stress-related extra-cellular stimuli. The regulatory phosphorylation site of PRAK is Thr 182 ; PRAK is phosphorylated by p38 a and p38 ß in vitro at this residue. Activated PRAK specifically phosphorylates HSP27 at its physiologically relevant sites in vitro.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
