Synthetic peptide corresponding to the pseudosubstrate region of protein kinase C, amino acids 19-31 (RFARKGALRQKNV). Acts as a specific PKC inhibitor for in vitro assays.
Inhibitory Activity: Half-maximal inhibitory dose (IC50) in vitro is 0.2mM.
Protein Kinase C Assay: Inhibs phosphorylation of PKC Substrate Peptide by Protein Kinase C (PKC) isoforms.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or assay dilution buffer (20mM MOPS, pH 7.2, 25mM beta-glycerol phosphate, 5mM EGTA, 1mM sodium orthovanadate,1mM dithiothreitol). Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
