Factor V is a single chain plasma glycoprotein essential in the blood coagulation cascade. The active cofactor is composed of an NH2-terminal derived light chain, Mr = 94,000, and a COOH-terminal derived light chain, Mr = 74,000 which remain non-covalently associated in the presence of calcium ions.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 20ng antigen/ well, depending on antibody used. Use either PBS or TBS for dilution buffer

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
