Selective enrichment medium for Listeria monocytogenes.
UVM Modified Listeria Enrichment Broth is a modified formula developed by Donnelly and Baigent of the University of Vermont. Nalidixic acid (20mg/L) inhibits Gram negative microorganisms and acriflavine inhibits Gram positive bacteria. Esculin is utilized by Listeria monocytogenes.
