Bile Salts Mixture #3 is a mixture of sodium cholate and deoxycholate derived from liver. It’s primary use is as a selective agent for the isolation of gram-negative microorganisms, inhibiting gram-positive cocci. It is soluble in distilled or dionized water and neutral to slightly alkaline.

Storage and Stability:Store powder at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared solution should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.
