• Extensively purified glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenases have been obtained from yeasts, E. coli and various mammalian tissues, and these are generally considered to be coenzyme specific for NADP.
• Source:Leuconostoc mesenteroides
• Form:Supplied as a suspension in 3.7M ammonium sulfate. Phosphohexose isomerase, phosphogluconate dehydrogenase, adenylate kinase, and creatine phosphokinase contaminant activities ≤0.02%, 0.003%, 0.002%, and 0.002%, respectively.
• Activity:≥ 200 NADP units per mg protein
• Unit Definition:1 unit reduces 1umole of pyridine nucleotide per minute at 30ºC, pH 7.81 NAD unit = approx 1.8 NADP units
• AK:≤0.002%
• CK:≤0.002%
• 6-PGDH:≤0.003%
• PHI:≤0.02%
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
